Couldn't remove ASM disk which has NAME attribute in udev rule?

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

  • If udev rule is mentioned using NAME attribute instead of SYMLINK while defining permissions and creating ASM disks, the disk is not getting removed when removing/commenting out the udev rule and reloading the configuration?

  • Following rule has been added:

    ENV{DM_UUID}=="part1-mpath-3600c0ff0001187d84537fe5101000000", NAME="oracleasm/asm01", GROUP:="oracle", OWNER:="oracle", MODE:="0660"

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.4
  • udev rule
