Builds failing with readlink /var/lib/docker/overlay2/l: invalid argument

Issue

• Build failing on a specific node with the following Log Tail message. Node reboot did not help to overcome the problem.

 # oc describe build build_check_1
   Name:           build_check_1
   ...
   Status:         Failed (Generic Build failure - check logs for details.)
   ...
   Log Tail:       error: build error: API error (500): {"message":"readlink /var/lib/docker/overlay2/l: invalid argument"}
