rsyslogd: queue "main Q": queue.workerThreadMinimumMessage is set quite low at 40000.

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • rsyslogd reports the following error, but there is no such parameter like $MainMsgWorkerThreadMinimumMessages.
rsyslogd[9821]: queue "main Q": queue.workerThreadMinimumMessage is set quite low at 40000. You should only set it below 10% (2048000) if you have a good reason.
  • The following message is outputted when I setting $MainMsgQueueWorkerThreadMinimumMessages in rsyslog.conf.
rsyslogd[9821]: invalid or yet-unknown config file command 'MainMsgQueueWorkerThreadMinimumMessages' - have you forgotten to load a module?
  • What to do if I would like to set the thread minimum message for MainMsgQueue?
