Oracle reports ORA-04030 (out of memory) errors when resource intensive PL/SQL procedures are executed
Issue
- ORA-04030 error messages are being recorded in trace files as an Oracle custom application is failing with
ENOMEMerrors when attempting to map memory usingmmap(2)calls, even while system has:- free memory available;
- little or no swap usage;
- no system session limits set on memory.
