  • Packet loss occurs during migration in case of a Windows guest OS.The following is a result of ping:

64 bytes from 192.168.1.44: icmp_seq=17 ttl=128 time=0.429 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.1.44: icmp_seq=18 ttl=128 time=0.406 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.1.44: icmp_seq=19 ttl=128 time=0.406 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.1.44: icmp_seq=20 ttl=128 time=12801 ms <<- (*1)
64 bytes from 192.168.1.44: icmp_seq=21 ttl=128 time=11801 ms <<- (*1)
64 bytes from 192.168.1.44: icmp_seq=22 ttl=128 time=10802 ms <<- (*1)

  • Due to a bridged networking configuration, it occurs during migration in case of a Windows guest OS.  This article shows how to avoid that.
