Issues with VPA Webhook in OCP 4

Issue

  • Cluster upgrade fails because of VPA Webhook.

  • While performing an OCP upgrade with VPA operator installed in the cluster, the upgrade fails due to pods not coming up with following message:

    Error creating: Internal error occurred: failed calling webhook "vpa.k8s.io": Post "https://vpa-webhook.openshift-vertical-pod-autoscaler.svc:443/?timeout=10s": no endpoints available for service "vpa-webhook"

  • MutatingAdmissionWebhook errors in the cluster:

    Internal error occurred: admission plugin "MutatingAdmissionWebhook" failed to complete mutation in 13s
