eBPF is not in use still getting message 'TECH PREVIEW: eBPF syscall may not be fully supported'

Issue

  • The following messages are reported in the syslog even though we are not using eBPF facility.
kernel: [ 2961.026881] TECH PREVIEW: eBPF syscall may not be fully supported.
kernel: [ 2961.026881] Please review provided documentation for limitations.
  • Need to determine which service/command/script is using eBPF.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.6
  • kernel-3.10.0-957.el7.x86_64 or higher
  • sosreport
  • eBPF
