Gluster Geo-Replication - RHHI-V - How to recreate missing socket files on /var/run/gluster

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

When a gluster volume is created and started, gluster creates two internal unix socket files under /var/run/gluster for each brick on the correspondent node, ie:

srwxr-xr-x. 1 root root 0 Jul 31 05:36 97af6e428d6609c0.socket
srwxr-xr-x. 1 root root 0 Jul 31 05:36 changelog-21357eaae81cbfd8.sock

With sosreport version sos-3.8, the sosreport Gluster plugin may remove socket files from /var/run/gluster , this has been observed specially when we have geo-replication sessions configured, and also on RHHI-V environment.

In this document we provide the steps to recreate these missing socket files. Basically, we need to stop and start the gluster volume. When the volume is started , if the socket files for that brick does not exist on that node, it will be recreated (with the same name as before)
