- When adding an extra broker to the cluster, Kafka does not assign any partitions to it automatically.
- When adding an extra disk using JBOD of Kafka broker, Kafka does not assign any partitions to it automatically.
- To remove a broker from a cluster, ensure that it is not assigned to any partitions by reassigning it to other brokers.
