Warning message "It is advised to have a correspondance between package and folder names"

Issue

  • After we upgraded from Decision Manager (DM) / drools 6.x to drools 7.x , we start seeing such warning messages when compiling the rules and deploying the kjar:

    2020-07-17 11:39:14,820 WARN  [org.drools.compiler.kie.builder.impl.KieBuilderImpl] (default task-1) File 'rules/abc/common.drl' is in folder 'rules/abc' but declares package 'com.company.rules.abc.common'. It is advised to have a correspondence between package and folder names.
