Linux printing service delays printing jobs
Issue
- One of the printing servers frequently delays printing jobs (12 seconds). We enabled debugging, and found that every time he printer server delays printing, there is a process in the printer server to write file to cache.
- Slowness in printing possibly due to CUPS performance.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7
- Common Unix Printing System (CUPS) 1.6.3
