Issue

  • System is logging the following message every hour:

    Mar 20 04:24:11 hostname kernel: mptbase: ioc0: RAID STATUS CHANGE for PhysDisk 0 id=1
Mar 20 04:24:11 hostname kernel: mptbase: ioc0:   SMART data received, ASC/ASCQ = 5dh/00h

  • Filesystem goes read only. The following messages seen in logs:

    Sep 26 06:05:28 hostname kernel: mptbase: ioc0: RAID STATUS CHANGE for PhysDisk 0 id=2
Sep 26 06:05:28 hostname kernel: mptbase: ioc0:   SMART data received, ASC/ASCQ = 5dh/92h
