PXE boot installation of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.4 with LACP fails

Issue

  • The switch is configured for LACP active mode and when the machine is booted from network, pxe boot succeeds, and presents boot-loader prompt.
  • After selecting boot option: vmlinuz loads whereas initrd.img starts loading, and about 50% of the time, the machine spontaneously reset.
  • That is, half the time, the initrd.img loads successfully, and the boot will proceed.
  • Why does the machine reset during initrd.img loads?
