Why does rhevm-setup fail while reading HOST_FQDN parameter from user ?

Issue

  • rhevm-setup script fails to detect the IP & exits with an error .

RHEV Manager uses httpd to proxy requests to the application server.
It looks like the httpd installed locally is being actively used.
The installer can override current configuration .
Alternatively you can use JBoss directly (on ports higher than 1024)

Error while trying to read parameter HOST_FQDN from user.

  • If the only interface with a valid IP is on a VLAN interface over bond , rhevm-setup script fails to detect the IP & exits with an error .
