Issue

  • Saving Data or Data Import fails with exception

    Caused by: java.sql.SQLException: Data too long for column 'VALUE' at row 1
    ...
    Query is: insert into USER_ATTRIBUTE (NAME, USER_ID, VALUE, ID) values (?, ?, ?, ?), parameters ['streetAddress','b2080b0b-ab06-460c-b49a-4e19169ac857','VERY LONG VALUE','6466e077-8be9-48f8-9cb1-4bf20036c2cc']
    
  • Error in log java.sql.SQLDataException: Data too long for column 'VALUE' at row 1

Environment

  • Red Hat Single Sign-On (RH-SSO) 7
  • Long string field value, > 255 characters
  • Importing data from user storage federation, LDAP or Active Directory, or saving data in the admin console or via the REST API
