Issue

  • Updating RHEL-8 machine fails with below error:

    # dnf update
    Updating Subscription Management repositories.
    Unable to read consumer identity
    This system is receiving updates from Red Hat Satellite or Spacewalk server.
    Last metadata expiration check: 0:00:34 ago on Tue 28 Apr 2020 09:01:50 AM EDT.
    Error: 
    Problem: package python3-newt-0.52.20-9.el8.x86_64 requires newt(x86-64) = 0.52.20-9.el8, but none of the providers can be installed
     - cannot install both newt-0.52.20-11.el8.x86_64 and newt-0.52.20-9.el8.x86_64
     - cannot install the best update candidate for package newt-0.52.20-9.el8.x86_64
     - problem with installed package python3-newt-0.52.20-9.el8.x86_64
    (try to add '--allowerasing' to command line to replace conflicting packages or  '--skip-broken' to skip uninstallable packages or '--nobest' to use not only best candidate packages)
