How to get OpenShift version installed on nodes (3.x)?

Issue

  • $ oc version provides the version of the master components and the client but not what is running on each and every node.
  • Upgrades may fail or be applied in a rolling manner so that node versions may differ.
  • Cluster administrators may want a quick way to check whether the versions are consistent across the cluster

Environment

  • All Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) 3 minor versions
  • Non containerized installation, i.e. RPM based
