Error when trying to add physical volume "The number of physical volumes in this volgroup has reached its limit"

Issue

• I am getting this error when I attempt to add a physical volume:  "The number of physical volumes in this volgroup has reached its limit" 

• I am seeing max pv 1 when trying to add physical volume

• When I do "vgdisplay", I see

        MAX LV                1
