Changes in operating-system level not picked up by JVM running
Issue
Changes to the underlying operating systems resolv.conf (RedHat Enterprise Linux 6) are not detected by the running application. This means any updates to name resolution config applied to the host do not apply to the application whilst it is running - causing potential issues.
