On an HP 8300 SFF alsamixer lacks settings for built-in soundcard

Issue

We use the HP 8300 SFF desktop PC as a RHEL workstation, using RHEL5.8. For a specific application we need the sound card, both input and output channels (external mic and speaker). On the previous HP models we used (HP 8200/8100) alsamixer gave us the following channels:

- Master
- Headphone
- PCM
- Front
- Line
- Mic
- Mic Boost
- Capture (0)
- Capture (1)
- Input source (0)
- Input source (1)
- Speaker

On the HP 8300 alsamixer shows only 2 two channels:

- Master
- Capture

If we use RHEL 6.4 on our HP 8300 everything works correctly. How can we activate the remaining channels on RHEL 5?
