In the RHEVM GUI, some VMs do not show up in the list of VMs for a storage domain

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • When selecting a Storage Domain in the RHEVM GUI and then clicking on the Virtual Machines tab, only 10 VMs are displayed.

  • A specific example of this was when a VM was moved from from one storage domain to another.

    • The move appeared to complete successfully (no errors were reported) but now the VM doesn't appear in the list of VMs for either storage domain (RHEVM GUI -> Storage -> [storage domain name] -> Virtual Machines).
    • Therefore the customer isn't sure if the VM really was moved between the domains, however the VM can be successfully started and stopped from the RHEVM interface.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Manager (RHEVM) 3.0, 3.1, 3.2
