Automatically expire JMS messages in JBoss EAP 5

Issue

  • We have an ESB Service, which is called synchronously through the ServiceInvoker. When the client fails or timeouts during the processing in the esb, we have a reply message in the reply queue, which will never be removed. So we need some kind of automatic expiry of these messages.

  • HORNETQ-1029 1 would be exactly what we need, but it is fixed in HornetQ 2.3.0 Beta. Is it possible to provide a patch, that back-ports this issue to the provided HornetQ 2.2.24 version?
