RHEL5 ixgbevf driver cannot enable jumbo frames
Issue
Unable to enable jumbo frame support on a network card using the ixgbevf driver. Setting the mtu to anything greater than 1504 returns:
# ip link set eth1 mtu 9000
SIOCSIFMTU: Invalid argument
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5
- Intel Ethernet card using ixgbevf driver
