RHV VM fails to start due to a qcow image having its corrupt bit set

Issue

  • RHV VM failed to start, reporting qcow2: Image is corrupt; cannot be opened read/write.

  • The VM had paused right after snapshot creation due to storage I/O problem, after which it was shutdown.

Environment

  • Red Hat Virtualization (RHV) 4.2.8
  • Red Hat Virtualization Host (RHVH) 4.2-8.3
    • libvirt-4.5.0-10.el7_6.4.x86_64
    • qemu-kvm-rhev-2.12.0-18.el7_6.3.x86_64
    • vdsm-4.20.47-1.el7ev.x86_64
