Server reboots with hung e1000 tasks on VMware
Issue
- The server was found in hung state, unable to connect via ssh and console. The server was rebooted manually
- Hung tasks utilizing network are seen in the
/var/log/messagesfile just before the reboot.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5
- VMware guest
