  • What user permissions/roles are required for the VMware vCenter user account to perform fence action using fence_vmware_soap or fence_vmware_rest ?
  • Fencing a cluster node failed with the following error:

       Sep  7 12:34:25 node42 fence_vmware_soap: Failed: The user does not have the correct privileges to do the requested action.
       Sep  7 12:34:26 node42 stonith-ng[1723]:  notice: fence_vmware_soap_reboot_2:39413:stderr [ 2022-09-07 12:34:25,795 ERROR: Failed: The user does not have the correct privileges to do the requested action. ]
