Project import of private repo fails in RHDM / RHPAM 7.5.0.GA

Solution In Progress - Updated -

Issue

We are trying to import a project from github/gitlab that requires credentials into business-central using these steps:

(1) Provide the url and the credentials

(2) The credentials seem to work, as we see the next screen where we can select the project/branch

(3) On clicking next, we are facing the following error:

ERROR [org.guvnor.structure.backend.config.DefaultPasswordServiceImpl] (default task-22) Unable to decrypt: org.jasypt.exceptions.EncryptionOperationNotPossibleException
    at deployment.ROOT.war//org.jasypt.encryption.pbe.StandardPBEByteEncryptor.decrypt(StandardPBEByteEncryptor.java:1055)
    at deployment.ROOT.war//org.jasypt.encryption.pbe.StandardPBEStringEncryptor.decrypt(StandardPBEStringEncryptor.java:725)
    at deployment.ROOT.war//org.guvnor.structure.backend.config.DefaultPasswordServiceImpl.decrypt(DefaultPasswordServiceImpl.java:60)
    at deployment.ROOT.war//org.guvnor.structure.backend.config.DefaultPasswordServiceImpl$Proxy$_$$_WeldClientProxy.decrypt(Unknown Source)

This has worked in earlier versions (eg. 7.4.1).
