rgmanager service never fully starts after logging "Initializing" or "Loading Resource Rules" in RHEL 5 or 6

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • When we do a service rgmanager start, it logs "Initializing" but then seems to get stuck
  • clustat doesn't show any service output on one node, and doesn't show rgmanager next to that node's name on any node
  • The rgmanager service on one node cannot start correctly.
  • The rgmanager log shows "Loading Resource Rules" and then nothing else, and clustat shows no service output:
