How to get cluster to control an application if there's no resource agent for it?

Issue

  • I'd like cluster to control and application for which there is no Red Hat provided resource agent in /usr/share/cluster/*

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server 5 (with the High Availability or Resilient Storage Add Ons)
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server 6 (with the High Availability or Resilient Storage Add Ons)
  • The script is managed by rgmanager (not pacemaker)
