JBoss ON shows EAP6 went DOWN and sending false alerts due to availability timeout

Issue

  • JBoss ON is sending a Down alert and then 1 minute later an UP alert, EAP hasn't been restarted, it's still running.
  • JBoss ON shows EAP6 went DOWN and sending false alerts.
  • The agent is timing out the availability check at 10 seconds even though I increased the rhq.agent.plugins.availability-scan.timeout setting to 15 seconds.

  • Red Hat JBoss Operations Network (ON) 3.1.2
  • Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP) 6.0.1
