How can a file or directory path name on a GFS2 file-system be obtained using only its inode number in RHEL 5, 6, and 7?
Issue
- How can the
inode
on aGFS2
file-system be identified using only itsinode
number? - I have identified lock contention on my
GFS2
file system in glock captures but all I know is theinode
number of the problematic file or directory. How can I find out what it is? - I need to locate an
inode
onGFS2
by number, but I'm worriedfind
will create more lock contention.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5, 6, or 7 with the Resilient Storage Add On
