Application archives (ears, wars, etc.) as symlinks cause vfs-nested.tmp to grow in JBoss

Issue

• I am using JBoss using  symbolic links (symlinks) for the deploy directory as well as deployed applications. I am experiencing a bug similar to the one fixed with the patch JBPAPP-3793. For this reason, I applied the patch, but it did not solve the problem.
• Use of symbolic links for deployed applications (links used for ears or wars, for example) results in the $JBOSS_HOME/server/$PROFILE/tmp/vfs-nested.tmp directory to grow until filesystem full errors occur.
