Why does the 'order' keyword in '/etc/host.conf' have no effect in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 and 6?
Issue
- It is required that server should check
/etc/hostsfile before trying to query DNS. - For that when added
orderkeyword in/etc/host.conffile, it made no effect, why ?
