Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • After updating to kernel version 3.10.0-1062.el7.x86_64 the shell prompt has changed from name@host: /full/path to [name@host current_directory]$.
  • When I log in as a user whose default shell is csh or tcsh, I get a syntax error.
  • csh and tcsh users' .cshrc or .tcshrc files are not parsed when the users logs in after updating to RHEL 7.7.

Environment
