Secure console access of AMQ 7.4 on Openshift.

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • I'm setting up an AMQ Broker 7.4 with persistence and no SSL instance. Out of the box, it creates a http route for the console.
  • I would like to make it an https route. When I update the route so it is a secure route, I can only access the page where I can select "Management Console" and "Documentation".
  • When I clock "Management Console" to view the actual console, it tells me "Application is not available". I would expect to be able to access the console whether the route is http or https.
  • I did try setting up an instance with SSL but for our environment, we can't have self-signed certs as shown in the setup. We just want the route to the console to be secure. Nothing different than the usual setup information appears in the AMQ logs.

Environment

  • Red Hat AMQ on Openshift
    • 7.4
