Issue

ifconfig or ethtool command are showing large numbers of errors under the following configuration;

- HP DL380 G7 servers running igb driver on Intel 82580 network interface card
- Below a sample output showing the errors

#ethtool -S eth10|grep -i errors
     rx_crc_errors: 9785
     rx_missed_errors: 233
     tx_aborted_errors: 0
     tx_carrier_errors: 0
     tx_window_errors: 0
     rx_long_length_errors: 33879116296
     rx_short_length_errors: 0
     rx_align_errors: 0
     rx_errors: 33879126081
     tx_errors: 0
     rx_length_errors: 33879116296
     rx_over_errors: 0

Note: Server does not report errors, if using the e1000e driver for the same NIC card.
