Docker volume group appears full when running 'vgs'

Issue

Docker volume group appears to be approaching full from vgs output, but no symptoms of a full filesystem have presented itself yet. Usage looks something like the below:

  $ vgs
  VG         #PV #LV #SN Attr   VSize    VFree
  docker_vg    1   1   0 wz--n- <245.00g    1.87g
  vg_docker    1   1   0 wz--n- <264.60g  158.76g

We need to clear space on docker_vg before there are DiskPressure errors or Evictions. This is the storage that Docker uses to store images, and oadm or Docker prune commands are not working to get the space usage down.
