Filesystem not starting during boot

Issue

  • Filesystem provided by multipath on /dev/mapper/mpath1p1 is listed in /etc/fstab but doesn't mount on start of the server.
  • After boot it appears to be active and can be mounted manually:
# multipath -v4 -ll
....
mpath1 (36000000000000000000000) dm-1 DGC,VRAID
size=200G features='1 queue_if_no_path' hwhandler='1 emc' wp=rw
|-+- policy='round-robin 0' prio=1 status=active
