Will Red Hat JBoss EAP 6.x/7.x servers be killed if the Process Controller is killed?

Issue

  • In Domain mode, the Process Controller will be the parent process for the Domain/Host Controller and JBoss Instance. How to prevent the Process Controller failure which be killed by manual command or other system issue?
  • If the Process Controller is killed the HC and all servers are stopped. Is there any way to prevent this from happening ?
  • This appears to be a single point of failure in Domain mode, please provide best practice to mitigate it.
