Why brick LV unable to mount and fails with special device does not exist in RHGS ?

Issue

  • The gluster brick is down due to relevant LV could not be mounted even if LV exist and active.

  • Why mount command fail with below error for brick LV ?

    # mount -a --fstab /var/lib/heketi/fstab
mount: special device /dev/mapper/vg_aaaabbbbccccddddeeeefffffgggg-brick_11112222333344445555666677778888 does not exist

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.x
  • Red Hat Gluster Storage 3.x
  • Openshift Container Storage 3.9
  • Openshift Container Storage 3.10
