RHEL 6 NFS client READs from SCO NFS server really slowly

Issue

  • The first file was 1293 bytes and it seemed to copy quickly and without any problems, so not a good test. The second file was 102817 bytes. It took a fair bit longer.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.4 (NFS client)
  • SCO OpenServer5 (NFS server)
  • NFS v2 / TCP
