Subnets are created with two Network Prefix without error in Red Hat Satellite 6.

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • When entering the Network Address for a subnet, the system does not reject address if entered with a slash notation (CIDR Format) and when the Network Prefix field is added explicitly again then the final address doubles up the Prefix.

  • Example:

If "x.x.x.x/24" is entered in the Network Address field for a subnet and "/24" as the Network Prefix. This results in a Subnet created as "x.x.x.x/24/24".
    which is not valid.

Environment

  • Red Hat Satellite 6.3.2.
