While executing 'service rhn-satellite stop' command, it gives message 'Warning: /etc/init.d/rhn-satellite is obsolete'

Issue

  • While executing service rhn-satellite stop command, it gives below error message.

    # service rhn-satellite stop
Warning: /etc/init.d/rhn-satellite is obsolete.
Each service has its own init script now.
The whole suite can be manipulated using command /usr/sbin/rhn-satellite instead.

Environment

  • Red Hat Network (RHN) Satellite 5.3 and later.
