Windows VDI Spice Sessions fail to refresh the screen on Windows 7 guests in RHEV 3.1.4
Issue
- Since upgrading the environment to RHEV 3.1.4, existing Windows VDI systems have poor performance with screen refreshes and often do not update/refresh the screen to the end user.
- Example:
- Typing a document, but the characters are not displayed as you are typing and you can't see the "blinking cursor".
- If you go through and highlight the line, the text appears, or if you resize the window within Windows, the text/image/whatever you are looking for will appear.
- This also works if you minimize/maximize/restore the window.
- Example:
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization 3.1.4
- Guest: Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2
