OpenStack glance image property 'cinder_img_volume_type' does not work as expected if used by non-admin user

Issue

  • Glance custom property is not implemented outside the Image's Project
  • Setting the volume type in the glance image using cinder_img_volume_type only worked for admins.
  • DB code was removing extra specs from a Volume Type for non-admin context.

  • Red Hat OpenStack Platform 11.
  • Red Hat OpenStack Platform 12.
