Quotas on ext4 are not immediately updated on RHEL6
Issue
- Quota file is not updated in a minute
- When filesystem is made in ext4 after user quota or group quota is enabled, the used number of blocks are not immediately reflected by the repquota command.
- Problem is cancelled when sync command is run, or wait for 60 seconds.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
- ext4 filesystem with quotas enabled
