Issue

  • 'semodule' command fails with the error "libsepol.module_package_read_offsets: wrong magic number for module package" .
  • Receiving the  following error when trying to add/remove SELinux modules.

    [root@server1 audit]# semodule -i  mymodule.pp 
    libsepol.module_package_read_offsets: wrong magic number for module package:  expected 4185718671, got 1685024010 
    libsemanage.semanage_load_module: Error while reading from module file /etc/selinux/targeted/modules/tmp/modules/local.te.
