In JBoss does turning off STRICT_SERVLET_COMPLIANCE affect other JBoss instances?

Issue

• In our current environment we have Jboss 4.3 with 5 instances running. If we add '-Dorg.apache.catalina.STRICT_SERVLET_COMPLIANCE=false' to the run.sh (which is used globally to start all the instances) to turn off strict servlet compliance, would this have any effect on other applications that are running perfectly fine in other instances.
