How to solve a GFID split-brain in a directory between different subvolumes?

Issue

Listing the contents of a directory mounted using the native client on the top of a Gluster volume returns Stale file handle or misses metadata attributes:

[root@client-1 Dir]# ls -l
ls: cannot access Dir1: Stale file handle
ls: cannot access Dir2: Stale file handle
total 0
d????????? ? ? ? ?            ? Dir1
d????????? ? ? ? ?            ? Dir2
