Is it safe to upgrade OpenShift to 3.9.33 in Red Hat 3scale API Management?

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

In OpenShift 3.9.33 we have:

BZ - 1582875 - Secured Wildcard route takes over all unsecured routes in same subdomain

Red Hat 3scale On-premises was installed on OCP 3.9.31 using wildcard with the following command:

oc new-app --file amp.yml --param WILDCARD_DOMAIN=wildcard.domain.com --param WILDCARD_POLICY=Subdomain --param ADMIN_PASSWORD=******

It seems to work: When we create a Service in 3scale we don’t need to create an OpenShift route pointing to the APIcast service. Can we safely upgrade it, because wilding routing seems to work with current Openshift version?

Environment

  • Red Hat 3scale API Management
